Sleeping

So I think Elisa look so cute in this picture so sometimes when I am really frustrated with her I look at it! Yesterday was one of those days as a mom where you just want to go in the other room cover your head with a pillow and block out the world. Elisa is only 6 months old. Now most 6 months old take at least two long naps a day I would think. My sisters babies always have so I just went ahead and assumed that all children were like this. Well I assumed wrong, Elisa is the worst nap taker I have ever met and yesterday just topped the cake. She was so tired all day but would not sleep. I tried everything crying, rocking, going on a walk (3 walks to be exact). So finally by 2 in the afternoon she was just screaming because she was so tired. I didn't know what to do, so I looked her in the eyes and said elisa I have had it. She just smiled at me like I don't care mom. So by 4 I told brody he could no longer go golfing I needed his help. So about 5 o'clock she fell asleep. so in my Head I told myself there is no way this kid is going to sleep tonight now if I let her sleep but I needed a break so I let her sleep. Much to my suprise when she finally went to sleep at 9:45 last night that was the last heard from her.
my very first night that I got sleep all the way through the night in 6 months I can't believe how much energy I have today it is amazing.

A boring night

Last night was actually a crazy one. At five a went and picked up brody from work like any other day we had dinner and then had plans to go into Meridian to get brody a white shirt for family pictures tonight. That all went well then we got home and I started to have sevier pain in my abdomen after about 1/2 hour brody said I am taking you to the emergency room. I said no it will go away. When it hit an hour brody once again said lets go I gave in this time because by now I thought I was going to die. Now let me just say that we do have a hospital in Emmett but since we have lived here everyone says not to go there. So we set out for a 30 minute drive into Meridian. As the pain got worse I thought I would die. Now I learned something when you get to the emergency room and you are at a 10 on the pain scale you get right in. Well after all was said and done it was my gallbladder which I kinda already new because I have had problems in the past but never that intense pain. Well after some morphine and some other drugs the gave me the name of a surgeon and sent me on my way home. Now you may think this is the end. So we head home and brody says I am going to stop and get a drink fine by me i say. So I said to brody I fell like I am going to throw up. He was like I am sorry. I said no I am serious I am going to throw up. Lucky for a bag in the car it saved us for a minute until the bag started leaking everywhere before we could pull over and find a garbage. It was a crazy night. Needless to say I feel much better today.

Relay For Life

In october of 2006 my dad was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukima. He is now a survivor of almost two years. Last year we attended the relay for life to support my father it was really happy and emotional time, but we came to realize how important it was to raise money for the american cancer society. My dad had chemothearpy and radiation. If it wasn't for these discoveries he would not be here today. So this year we are joining my dads team again and will be walking for cancer in June. This is a link to my dads relay for life website.
