What we have been doing!

This week has not been to eventful. I have just been recovering amazingly enough I woke up tuesday morning feeling like a new person still sore but I had elisa all day and we did great. We have been busy looking at houses again this week and have found some prospects. This is very exciting for me especially since in the rental we haven't been able to decorate because they said nothing on the walls since it is for sale. I love to make a place look like home and I don't feel like this is home. We don't have much planned for the weekend we will just enjoy being home. I do have to say that I have been so blessed this week to feel well and Elisa has been a trooper. She is trying to crawl and just can't get it done she can get on her knees but then she just nose dives. I bet she does it soon and then I am in for it I won't be able to keep a room clean for more than 5 minutes.

6 Random Facts about me!

1. I hate Tomotoes and Onions they make me gag! Although I shall never hear the End of it from the Hodges Side of the Family they live for onions I don't know why I have even tryed to taste them now that I am older I just don't like them. Maybe it is the texture I just don't know!

2. This is a weird one. I don't like driving next to water it makes me very nervous because I know that if I went in I would die a slow death and I don't want to die. Brody says I would never last in Hawaii on Vacation.

3. I love French Fries! If brody had to choose between bringing home flowers or an order of french fries from Red Robin you better believe that the fries would make me so much happier. Everytime I eat fries from a new place brody asks me if they make the top ten list and where they are on the list would I put them. I realize that these are not healthy for me but they are one thing now one can stop making my eat! My friend holly introduced me to the Parmasan fries at Jonny Corinos and they are Yummy! My number one fry is Red Robin though~!

4. I like old people I think they are cute. When I was little we lived in a neighborhood and all there was, was old men so I became friends with all the old men everyday I would set out to visist them while they worked in there yards. My Parents now tell me that I would tell all the family secrets oh well they were my friends.

5. Rollercoasters scare me like you would not believe. When brody and I went to florida with his family they were all going on the Hulk even his parents so I had to go because everyone was going. Man I thought I would die for sure I just closed my eyes the whole time so that if I fell off the rollercoaster I wouldn't see the cement below!

6. There is nothing I love more than to be with family I don't care who I just love to be around people I love.

The Gallbladder

So the day finally arrived on friday I had my gallbladder out. When it comes to pain I am a baby and anyone who knows me will definatly agree. So Brody and I arrived at the hospital at 9 and checked in they told me they would take me back and prep me and then brody could come back. Now to some this might be a big deal but I was counting on brody to be by myside the whole time I was awake. I hate IV's and I can always count on brody to entertain me why I am nervous about something. Well they wouldn't let him come back even though I asked so I was a big girl and went back alone. They were very nice to me and gave me drugs to make the nerves go away. Brody came back said good bye and the next thing I new I was gallbladder free and definatly in pain. I was way out of it there for awhile the nurse kept saying what is you pain on a scale of one to ten now I thought it was a 10 but they told me it wasn't but whatever i was way to out of it to know. My mom and dad came and took Elisa for the Day and spoiled her rotten of course Nana bought her very first doll which she loves to eat. And so Papa had to keep up with Nana so He bought her a Moose to play with in her car seat which I haven't seen her play with yet but everyone says she loves it. Sadly they had to leave yesterday and I was very thankful for there help. Elisa keeps looking around for them but can't find them. Thanks to everyone who called or stopped by. Especially Aimee my sister in Law she called and I am pretty sure I was so out of it that I was saying crazy stuff and she was probably like what is up with this girl. Next time we talk I swear I won't be heavly medicated.

P.S. There will be no pictures with this post sorry courtney I know you wanted some but I don't think I want everyone to see.

Fun in the Sun

This weekend was a great one. Friday night we met Jeff and Holly at Costa Vida for dinner before we did some grocery shopping I introduced Holly to Costa Vida and she is now addicted. friday night we took some things back to walmart that elisa never used and got her a little jonny jumper she loves it and it is pretty enertaining to watch her in it. Saturday Brody woke up early and went Golfing with Jeff and then we went over to Jeff and Hollys so brody could help spread gravel then we had a bbq with the missionaries. Sunday we had good church meetings although said some former member of the ward were killed in a car accident a father and his two daughters and the other is in critical condition. It really makes you think about things and it made so greatful that my family is safe. It was good weekend and it went to fast. The pictures of Elisa in the pool were fun we got her a pool at the dollar store. She loved it she didn't even care the water was cold she just got in there and started splashing I love that she like to be outside and in her pool because I enjoy being outside.

Sleeping

So I think Elisa look so cute in this picture so sometimes when I am really frustrated with her I look at it! Yesterday was one of those days as a mom where you just want to go in the other room cover your head with a pillow and block out the world. Elisa is only 6 months old. Now most 6 months old take at least two long naps a day I would think. My sisters babies always have so I just went ahead and assumed that all children were like this. Well I assumed wrong, Elisa is the worst nap taker I have ever met and yesterday just topped the cake. She was so tired all day but would not sleep. I tried everything crying, rocking, going on a walk (3 walks to be exact). So finally by 2 in the afternoon she was just screaming because she was so tired. I didn't know what to do, so I looked her in the eyes and said elisa I have had it. She just smiled at me like I don't care mom. So by 4 I told brody he could no longer go golfing I needed his help. So about 5 o'clock she fell asleep. so in my Head I told myself there is no way this kid is going to sleep tonight now if I let her sleep but I needed a break so I let her sleep. Much to my suprise when she finally went to sleep at 9:45 last night that was the last heard from her.
my very first night that I got sleep all the way through the night in 6 months I can't believe how much energy I have today it is amazing.

A boring night

Last night was actually a crazy one. At five a went and picked up brody from work like any other day we had dinner and then had plans to go into Meridian to get brody a white shirt for family pictures tonight. That all went well then we got home and I started to have sevier pain in my abdomen after about 1/2 hour brody said I am taking you to the emergency room. I said no it will go away. When it hit an hour brody once again said lets go I gave in this time because by now I thought I was going to die. Now let me just say that we do have a hospital in Emmett but since we have lived here everyone says not to go there. So we set out for a 30 minute drive into Meridian. As the pain got worse I thought I would die. Now I learned something when you get to the emergency room and you are at a 10 on the pain scale you get right in. Well after all was said and done it was my gallbladder which I kinda already new because I have had problems in the past but never that intense pain. Well after some morphine and some other drugs the gave me the name of a surgeon and sent me on my way home. Now you may think this is the end. So we head home and brody says I am going to stop and get a drink fine by me i say. So I said to brody I fell like I am going to throw up. He was like I am sorry. I said no I am serious I am going to throw up. Lucky for a bag in the car it saved us for a minute until the bag started leaking everywhere before we could pull over and find a garbage. It was a crazy night. Needless to say I feel much better today.

Relay For Life

In october of 2006 my dad was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukima. He is now a survivor of almost two years. Last year we attended the relay for life to support my father it was really happy and emotional time, but we came to realize how important it was to raise money for the american cancer society. My dad had chemothearpy and radiation. If it wasn't for these discoveries he would not be here today. So this year we are joining my dads team again and will be walking for cancer in June. This is a link to my dads relay for life website.
